Durolast Roofing

Durolast Roofing Products

Duro-Last began in 1978 with the simple need to find a roofing system that worked. Existing roofing systems presented a common problem – they required ongoing maintenance and continual expense, with no long-term solution in sight.

Our Founder, John R. Burt, used his experience in fabricating pool liners to develop a remarkable new roofing membrane. Two years of additional testing resulted in the proprietary membrane formula still in use today.

Investigation of the roofing industry proved that the majority of roofing system failures then (and still today) are not due to the roofing system assembly itself but to workmanship on-site. To solve this problem we brought our roofing system “in-house” developing custom prefabrication methods and specialized equipment that allows us to complete nearly 100% of the difficult roof details and up to 85% of field seams under ideal factory controlled conditions. The result is lower on-site labor costs and better installation quality.

Duro-Last is now the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems. The Duro-Last Roofing System, contractor installation team, customer service and warranty all set the quality standards for the roofing industry.

IB Roof Systems

ib roof systems

History:

The Stanley Family founded IB Roof Systems in 1978 and had the foresight to promote thermoplastic roofing membranes that were foreign to the roofing industry. Since then, IB Roof Systems has gone from a back of the home business to a multi-million dollar business with locations in Eugene, OR, Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, and Chicago, IL.

One of the first commercial applications using IB single ply was a mechanically attached roof on Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, Oregon.

‘Systems’ is the key word in our name. Since 1978, IB Roof Systems has been designing and manufacturing roofing systems, not just materials. IB Roof Systems also limits the availability of our products to authorized installers. You can be assured that when a contractor is installing an IB Roof System, he or she is using the highest quality material from IB Roof Systems.

These factors give you the maintenance-free roof you want and the confidence you need to help put your roofing problems in the past.

Quality Products:

When you are looking for a product that can protect your asset for the long term, that’s when you turn to a proven, sustainable, and quality product. And at IB Roof Systems, we are dedicated to providing our customers just that. Contractors and Design Professionals comfortably and confidently select to work with products from IB because of their performance, reliability, and longevity. That translates into Building and Home Owners across the country who have been able to rest assured their home and assets are protected… a fact proven by roofs continuing to perform leak-free since 1978.

In order to meet that high standard of leak-free performance, you need to have a strong and reliable base. And that base begins with the formulation of the product. IB has stayed true to its time and performance proven formula and production process for 35 years by utilizing only the highest quality polymers, plasticizers, fire retardants, and UV stabilizers available to ensure a highly flexible and durable membrane. This formulation is then coupled and reinforced with an anti-wicking 9×9 denier polyester scrim that is highly resistant to solvents, acids, and bases because of the molecular bonds created during the manufacturing process.

LiveRoof

LiveRoof is the proven, patented hybrid green roof system, installed on nearly 4 million square feet and over a thousand projects worldwide.  Building owners trust LiveRoof because we stand by our products, which provide the best overall value for the life of the roof. With 20 growing locations in the US and Canada, we are committed to sustainable, local production and providing industry best customer service.

LiveRoof systems offer a variety of plant options, with four system depths (of 2.5″ to 8″). We have a broad catalog of RoofTop Proven™ plant selections, many of which were bred and selected specifically for the rigors of a rooftop environment.

LiveRoof was designed to combine all of the benefits of other types green roof systems while leaving out the drawbacks. LiveRoof provides the Natural Function and Natural Beauty of green roof systems that are built in place using layers, without the cost of maturation.  It offers the speed of installation of modules, without compartmentalization.  LiveRoof systems offer the prevegetation of carpet or sod-like green roof systems, without the need for excessive watering required by mat systems for the plants to root into the soil below.

Fibertite

Fibertite

Fibertite

A Proven Choice:

FiberTite was first installed on rooftops in 1979. For the first 10 years of the product’s life, Seaman Corporation offered only a 10-year warranty on the FiberTite product. Thirty years later, we are finding that our earliest roofs are still performing.

Seaman Corporation uses the same core formula today to manufacture the FiberTite membrane as we did back in 1979. With a track record of proven long-life after exposure to the harshest rooftop environments, including blistering UV rays, extreme hot and cold temperatures, oils, greases, and caustic chemicals, we never found a reason to change it.

The FiberTite formula relies on DuPont Elvaloy KEE technology for superior performance attributes and for long-term flexibility. Because the FiberTite membrane remains flexible over time, future rooftop modifications can be made with ease.

Rooftop gardens originated in Europe centuries ago, and while Architect Frank Lloyd Wright experimented with them in the early 1900s, it wasn’t until the 1980s that rooftop gardens became a cost-effective roofing option. Also known as green roofs, these sustainable roof installations have grown to be a popular choice among environmentally conscious roofing specifiers, enriching the visual landscape and providing tremendous benefits to the environment.

Just take a look at some of the significant industry firsts we’re known for:

1981: GenFlex becomes one of the original suppliers of EPDM systems. The company is also the first to market EPDM seam tape.
1996: GenFlex develops the first 12-foot-wide TPO sheet to meet industry code requirements, and it is still the widest sheet available.
2003: GenFlex launches the revolutionary Peel & Stick(TM) system, one of the most significant advancements in roofing in the past decade.
2010: GenFlex introduces FlexWhite EPDM, a white-on-black EPDM membrane that combines the benefits of a highly reflective white-surfaced membrane with the proven application techniques of a flexible EPDM roofing system.

Today, our roofing systems and components provide a high-quality product, easier installations and a complete array of warranties to meet your needs, as they evolve.
