Recycling Shingles
Recycling shingles is a great way to lessen your impact on the environment. We recycle any materials that we can and we are proud to do so. We take roofing materials to a recycling station that accepts roofing materials and the old materials are broken down and used to create new materials for many different applications.
Recycling Roofs to Roads:
We can use old roofing shingles to make a variety of useful items. The largest market for recycled shingles is hot-mix asphalt to repair roads and build new asphalt tarmac. The addition of shingle recycling can make these roads stronger and reduce the need to produce new asphalt.
Dust Control
Recycled Shingle products are also used for reducing dust on dirt roads and construction areas, as well as building temporary roads and driveways.
New Roofing Shingles
Adding a mixture of up to 20% recycled shingles to the manufacturing of new shingles has been shown to have no impact on the durability of the new shingle. This means that your old shingles may be used to manufacture new shingles and continue the cycle.
